Mountain Biking

In the future I plan to purchase a bike.  The bike I have now has a lot of issues.  I just had the rear deraileur replaced.  Additionally, it's hard to find a specific gear with handlebar shifters.  Today I discovered that a sprocket that went bad before is now replaced with a much less durable plastic piece.  My  consumer relationship with this bike shop is over.

This weekend my korean co-workers husband brought his bike down by the coast and so I rode it down the coastline.  It's a road bike with no shocks, flat handlebars, shimano shifters, disc brakes, and a light-weight frame.  The feedback that came from the road was amazing.  But on second thought perhaps shocks are better for the kind of abuse that my bike goes through.

Still, there's a hybrid bike in my future with at the very least shimano shifters and disc brakes.

Space

There's a story in every photo. Korea is a country with a limited amount of public and private space. I've been hit biking on the sidewalk if that's any indication of the safety that you'll encounter biking on the road.

I work at a sports park. Yeosu's bike club is headquartered there, but there isn't a lot of space for biking.
