Long Flights
When I boarded my flight to Korea I was really excited to find that I had a selection of games, movies, and news to watch on the display in front of me that was running on Red Hat.
About 30 minutes into the flight the computer froze and wouldn't reboot. I called the stewardess and it was eventually sorted out. Thats when I realized that the controls for the games weren't very responsive, the news feed was old, and the selection of movies was horrible. So I resolved myself to watching a tiny plane icon inch forward over the Pacific.
I was making great strides towards avoiding the torture of watching a Leonardo DiCaprio flick but I eventually caved. The title wasn't very memorable and the movie was even less so. It was a middle-eastern flick about a CIA agent who gathers intelligence and falls in love with a Persian girl. In the end it was just another poorly scripted movie that tries to be Syriana, and instead; It brings together a series of what appear to be unrelated events that evolve into a sinister master plan. The sinister master plan begins to unfold when the "bad guys" realize that DiCaprio's character is putting the screws to them and their joint cooperation agreement. Great twist there!
Sometimes technology is torture. Next time I'm bringing a Dingoo.
